Nephew's Graduation Card

My nephew is graduating from college this weekend. Here's the card I made for him. The school colors are blue and gold. I just love the tie with the tie tack.

I didn't notice the black smudge on the bottom until I put the photo up here. Glad I decided to post it. Now I have to redo the card. Better than giving a smudged one.

Two Sympathy Cards

I've had several requests for sympathy cards recently. Here are a couple that I've come up with. After merging several great ideas that I found on some Stampin' Up Demonstrator blogs.

Bunco for Life

Some friends put on a Bunco for Life, which raised money for the American Cancer Society. I had a booth where I sold cards and gave profits to the cause. It was my first solo show. They had almost 50 people playing bunco!

Ann's Birthday

Well, yesterday was Ann's birthday - I won't say how many! Ann and I have been stamping together a lot lately (really a lot) and I wanted to make her a very cool card. So here's what I came up with. It's 3-d and would be difficult to mail - you'd need a box rather than an envelope. I'm pretty proud of myself for actually getting it to her on her birthday. (I did have to drive to her house that evening...)

Easter, a little late

Well, I'm a little late posting my cute Easter basket treats. They went over very well at my local Curves. Everyone wanted one for the grandkids basket or for the Easter dinner place setting. But, you've got to admit, they are pretty cute!

Saturday

New bird punch

Here's a card I made with my new bird punch. I need to make cards suitable for men. For some reason they don't like flowers and pastels. I saw a similar card and this is what I came up with. I'm not sure if this is really a "man card" since it does have a bird on it, but it's not pink. What do you think? I think maybe the hunters in the family might think that this was OK.

Tuesday

Forgot a Birthday?

Here's a cute card if you're like me and forget to get the card into the mail until the day of the birthday. (Or later.) Inside it says "Next year I'll forget mine"

The other "bad" that I do is to have the card made and ready and then not get it into the mailbox. Now, I don't have a fix for that. Maybe SWAK on the envelope?

Saturday

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentines day is just around the corner. I've made quite a few this year, but just a few have made it to the blog. I tried taking photos instead of using the scanner this time, I think I'm going back to the scanner. Each has it's little issues.

The truck valentine is made for a 5 year old boy. Doesn't it look just too cute? I want one for myself! I love the fish. I just bought that set used and woke up on Friday morning with that idea and had to run downstairs and make that -- even before coffee!!

I'm running over with ideas. So let me know if you need something for your "honey".

Friday

Happy New Year

Well, it's been a while since I posted. I spent 3 weeks in Louisiana enjoying family and friends. It took a while to get back to cards, but here I am.

I spend today working and got a few made. I spent time doing some with watercolor pencils. These take time and don't scan well. I have one here for your viewing pleasure. Another is a mixture of stamping and coloring, I can feel the peace of sitting in the garden to write that letter.

I guess that I felt like being a kid today, I spent hours coloring pictures with my colored pencils! What a better way to spend a cold day?
